Alison & Neal's wedding at The Chapel Hill Carriage House was simply lovely. The gorgeous bride, Alison, had an amazing team helping to make her special day unforgettable! Her family owns the venue and chose Donovan's Dish to ensure a flawless reception for their daughter. Every detail was heartfelt, sweet, and beautifully displayed.

When bride Courtney expressed her desire to have a vintage Alice in Wonderland themed wedding reception her planner, Paula Bass, knew that Kyle Overby was the designer to fulfill her dream! Kyle is the head of Donovan’s Dish Floral and Design Team. He created the most enchanting, floral fantasy in the ballroom of downtown Raleigh’s Sheraton Hotel for Courtney and Nick.
Upon falling down the rabbit hole, into Kyle’s world, we first saw the most adorable table top arrangements complete with towering teacups, playing cards, vintage keys, pocket watches, and bird cages.
We have been on cloud nine at Donovan's Dish this week! We were honored to be invited to the 2013 Chef's Challenge benefiting the Triangle Heart Ball, an event hosted by Quintiles Headquarters in which our Chef TJ competed on September 24. Chef TJ is the first non-restaurant chef to have competed in the challenge. He was up against 5 of the area’s top chefs and had to showcase a dish from his "heart".
This summer Donovan’s Dish was asked to serve a dinner for a monthly NACE meeting. NACE, The National Association of Caterers and Events, is a wonderful association in which to be involved. Our Triangle chapter is made up of some AMAZING and incredibly talented people. We were thrilled to serve a dinner in the wedding and event industry. We wanted to show what Donovan’s Dish is all about.
All of our food is fresh, made from scratch, and we support local farmers as often as possible. Nothing is ever brought in frozen; it is prepared fresh for you and your guests. We are known for our quality of food as well as gorgeous presentations! We are a well oiled machine with a commitment to flawless execution!
The evening started with the DD team arriving to prep and set up. The Cookery staff, of course, made sure all of our servers got a little wine tasting before anything got started!
Thank you to all who came to the Forever Bridal Wedding Show at the Jim Graham Building last weekend! What a pleasure it was spending some time with everyone. In case you missed it we showcased some of our most popular dishes. The attendees enjoyed our Signature Chicken Saltimbocca Bites and we passed out some amazing specials for all of the beautiful brides to redeem. The show was a great success. There were 228 different vendors in the wedding industry communicating and educating brides about their upcoming celebrations!
Our award winning booth was GORGEOUS! The floral arrangements were simply elegant, our showcase displayed Chef TJ’s amazing culinary presentation skills, and every detail of décor tied into our modern streamlined theme.
