Congratulations Lily & Josh! What a beautiful wedding this past weekend at The Sutherland. Lily and Josh had a garden party themed brunch reception on Saturday. The ceremony was in front of The Settler’s House on the property, and it was gorgeous!
After the ceremony, hors d’oeuvres were served on the patio.
These BLT tea sandwiches were a huge hit! Not your typical BLT – crisp, thick cut, applewood bacon, fresh NC tomatoes, arugula, and garlic aioli on a balsamic drizzle. MMMmmm!
After a couple of bites and a few champagne punch drinks, everyone made their way into The Walled Garden. Lily’s colors were a gorgeous teal with lilac and plum accents. Each table had a vintage teapot centerpiece filled with wildflowers and lavender. It was a perfect setting for a beautiful garden brunch. Chef TJ’s famous Shrimp & Ashe Co. cheddar Grits, Mini Chicken & Waffles with a honey bourbon Dijon glaze, and Mini Quiches were a major crowd pleaser.
