Congratulations Kelly & Andrew!! This sweet couple had such a beautiful wedding, with a gorgeous ceremony at the stunning Duke Chapel and the reception at our first home, The Cookery.
When I think of Summer eats, soup does not enter my mind. I say this because soup, to me, evokes comfort food, cold nights and warm bellies. Obviously Summer is warm enough, who needs soup? Well after today at Donovan’s Dish I have a new found love for cold soups. The thought of them has always been a turn off to me; I mean the point of soup is to be warm right? Well today I got proved wrong. We had a very stylish lunch go out today and on the menu, Spanish Gazpacho. Gazpacho is served cold and at room temp.
This recipe is one of our all time favorites! Grilled pimento cheese
with fresh sliced tomato just reminds us of childhood in the South. Whip
this easy recipe together and spread it on some sunflower bread. Top
with fresh avocado, sliced heirloom tomatoes, or even sliced Granny
Smith Apples and upgrade this classic into a flavor bomb.
Big hats, sun dresses and Seersucker are in full effect to cool off on these hot and humid N.C. days. There's no better place to show off your summer best than at a gathering of any kind where you and your illustrious friends can enjoy Donovan's Dish's signature drinks in hand. You can choose from sangria, mojitos, blackberry mojitos, gin and cucumber, or a glass of champagne.
With The Belmont Stakes and the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2 in not too distant memory and the 4th of July on the horizon, there's no better time to get your "country club" on!
Lauren & Tee's wedding last weekend was filled with fun, DANCING, and great memories! Our special couple chose us here at Donovan's Dish to create a fun menu for their crowd. The reception was held at our first home, The Cookery, in Durham. Rochelle, owner of The Cookery, took all of these fabulous pictures!
What a big night for Raleigh! Donovan's Dish was chosen to cater the exclusive Merrimon-Wynne grand opening, hosted by Jodi Strenkowski, owner of the The Merrimon-Wynne house. The ribbon-cutting ceremony kicked off the night with Lt. Governor Dan Forrest. Located at 500 N. Blount Street and originally built in 1876, this historic masterpiece is now part of the Blount Street Commons in downtown, serving as a miraculous wedding and event venue. Jodi purchased the home in 2013 and restored it with her own personal touch. Hundreds of experts involved in the wedding industry, along with brides and any others who expressed interest in the venue, were invited to attend this thrilling event. How exciting!
Congratulations to Danielle and Ryan on their spectacular wedding! The delightful reception was held at The Stockroom on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh. The sweet couple filled their night with all the essentials – family, friends, and food.

Alison & Neal's wedding at The Chapel Hill Carriage House was simply lovely. The gorgeous bride, Alison, had an amazing team helping to make her special day unforgettable! Her family owns the venue and chose Donovan's Dish to ensure a flawless reception for their daughter. Every detail was heartfelt, sweet, and beautifully displayed.
